Rules Presently applications to the game are limited. Anyone on my plurk list is fine to join automatically. People who are friends of people in the game are also cool. If you're more degrees of separation from that (or if you're not sure) you can contact me and be like, hey, can I join? To be honest, I'll probably say yes to let you in -- mostly I'm limiting things because this game is going to need OOC contact to work, and I only want to have people who are willing to be in contact with me OOCly.  The game is going to be really, really dark. This isn’t going to change, and it will probably get progressively darker as the game progresses. The plan is not to make things 100% a mire of complete hopelessness, but it is going to involve a lot of PVP and it is going to be bloody. Particularly this game is going to involve violence and gore, psychological fuckery, horror, creepy shit, torture, etc. It’s okay if you’re not into this, it just means this is not be the game for you. It also will probably involve a lot of sexual situations. You're not required to play smut, but you are required not to give anybody else shit for playing it. If you don't like it you can ignore it. As for what you're allowed to do, I don't care as long as you're not springing anything on people without talking about it and having comfort levels addressed.  Respect the time of moderators and NPC players. Nobody is getting paid for this. If I suggest a time for a certain game or event or whatever, you are free to point out that you can’t make it at that time, and I’ll definitely take input from players about what times are best for them. That said, nobody is obligated to be on-call 24/7. I’ll do my best to keep the game running smoothly, and I’ll ask for help if I’m unable to do so myself. I don’t do IRC, so if we need to chat one on one or even have a group chat we’ll set up a tinychat or something along those lines. What you do with your memories is basically your business as long as you’re not totally ignoring the mechanic. I’m not planning on playing memory police and telling people what memories they can and cannot take. For the most part, if you ask “hey, can I use this memory,” I’m probably going to say “sure” unless using that memory will fuck over someone else.  This isn't a democracy. I am absolutely happy to listen to any and all suggestions. I'm a reasonable person. And people who put a lot into the game will have more of a say in what happens in it. But I'm going to run the game I want to run it. I want other people to have fun, so I'm going to try my best to run it in a way that makes other people have fun. I also want to have fun myself. And I'm going to make decisions as best I can to balance these interests. We can disagree respectfully and if you're not enjoying the game you can leave with no hard feelings. I understand.
