Team Houses

where are the flowers, the fair young flowers, that lately sprang and stood in brighter light and softer airs?

Sakura

The interior of the tailor’s itself is dusty, dirty and broken in some places, but still -- for the most part, the shop is intact. Clothing racks stand seven to a section, six silver circular racks surrounding one gold circular rack -- from above, it might look like they’re in flower patterns. There are three of these rack arrangements in total: women’s, men’s, and children’s. However, it seems the men’s section is broken, and the clothes there are filled with mothballs. Lining the walls in the back are shoes -- dozens and dozens of shoes, all relatively intact though there are some pairs that you might find to be missing a pair, and some shoes that might be broken or otherwise not cobbled together right. For the most part, though, there are quite a few shoes that are well enough intact.

Near the door, there is a counter for the front desk and behind the counter are bolts and bolts of cloth; next to that, there are a few dressing rooms. In the back, behind the STAFF ONLY door, is a hallway of four rooms -- beyond that, the ceiling has collapsed, leaving the rest of the shop unavailable to peruse. Within each of the four rooms, there are single-sized beds and large vanity mirrors.

Every article of clothing is sturdier than normal clothing tends to be, whatever material it is made of -- it doesn’t seem to cut or become damaged very easily. Cloth behind the front desk is made of the same material as this. Underneath and on the front desk counter are needles and thread as well as sewing machines and sewing scissors, which are all mysteriously able to cut the fabric very easily.

alas! they all are in their graves, the gentle race of flowers are lying in their lowly beds, with the fair and good of ours.

Entering the brewery there’s a decrepit lobby, a wooden workdesk at the back of the room broken down and rotting. The walls are cracked, the paint is peeling, and there’s barely any lighting. On either side of the desk are stairwells leading down to where the alcohol is kept, in neat rows...or at least they were, except almost all of the kegs are on the ground and broken open. The ground is just dirt, cold and packed hard. Everyone has one blanket to sleep on, at least.

There are twisting hallways that don’t actually lead anyware but to each other, but at least that means the place is large? Sort of? There’s almost always the sound of laughter and the rattling of chains, though the source can never be quite pinned down. The whole place is always filled with a hazy mist, and you can sometimes see something darting about out of the corner of your eye.

In the kegs is booze. Garbage beer that tastes like water, but not at all crisp, pure, or delicious. It takes a ridiculous amount to even get you buzzed, but it’s something.

the wind-flower and the violet, they perished long ago, and the brier-rose and the orchis died amid the summer glow

Lycoris

Marigold

It’s gorgeous! Far larger than any other standing building here, the interior can’t be seen as beautiful Marigold curtains are drawn across the windows. It’s built from high quality wood that’s not at all rotted or worn down, and the simple but regal white and brown paintjob it sports is perfectly intact. A fence and hedges surround the yard. Two statues depicting knights stand on either side of the gate, dutifully standing guard.

The interior of the manor isn't so great. Below your feet are creaking, rotted through floorboards. The entire second floor is collapsed inward, the staircases broken apart and doors covered in rubble -- it's completely inaccessible. Through the door straight across the entrance is what may have been an office. On either side of that door are bedrooms, each with four...blankets. There are no other rooms you can reach. The place was cleaned up nicely, so there's that, at least.

Plus, you have eight really comfortable sleeping bags. Look, they have pockets!

but on the hill the golden-rod, the aster in the wood, the yellow sun-flower by the brook, in autumn beauty stood

The gate creaks as it opens, letting out a terrible ear-piercing noise. Certainly, no one who enters this place can possibly be quiet about their entrance. Inside, there are several buildings -- mausoleums -- but all of them appear to be destroyed save for one at the center of the graveyard that goes underground. The stony door itself is unmarked, hard to open, but once it is open -- boy.

There isn’t any light, so you’ll have to bring it yourself. When there is light in the building, you’ll find there’s cobwebs and spiders everywhere, as well as skeletons and bones. It’s so full of dust that it’s difficult to breathe, though fortunately you’re dead so this is actually a completely great atmosphere for you, I guess?

There’s an open coffin in the center of this singular room; inside is the skeleton of a child.

You do have a few shitty torches though that you can light up, which can be found on every wall.

till fell frost from heaven, as falls the plague on men, and the brightness of their smile was gone from glade and glen

Asphodel

Hemlock

Oh, were you expecting something?

the south wind searches for the flowers whose fragrance late he bore, and sighs to find them in the wood no more

Small and homely, the boathouse is a cabin almost as nice as the greenhouse’s, but it trades the kitchen and bathroom for a nice view of the river. And the rest of the town, as questionably nice as that may be. It’s quiet over here, and the gentle breeze feels really nice. You get access to the pier as well, and could easily go fishing, if you wanted. Not that fish help particularly much at all with your hunger, and on top of that even the part of the river you’re situated on is completely unsafe at night.

There’s a nice-looking boat tied to the pier and resting on the shore. It looks like it could actually hold your entire team, so maybe you can just leave…?

Except it’s full of holes. Looking inside will reveal that it’s half filled with water, and on closer inspection the wood is rotted through. Inside the boat, however, is a seemingly unlimited supply of fishing rods. Again, not like the fish help, but they do taste good?

and then I think of one who in her youthful beauty died, the fair meek blossom that grew up and faded by my side

Larkspur

Aconite

Inside the chapel, you’ll find that it’s actually pretty intact, despite the rest of the city’s wreckage. Not only that, but it looks like it’s been well taken care of, even up to this point! There isn’t even so much as a speck of dust anywhere. There are twelve pews, six on either side of the white-carpet aisle, and on every pew is a nice blanket. The altar stands tall, and the window behind it has lovely stained glass, of vines and kudzu and various flowers -- pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black . . . grey? It’s lovely. Sort of reminds you of some teams, right?

At the far wall, there are stairs in a back room that lead upstairs. There, you’ll find eight rooms with simple beds. The rooms themselves are plain, but there’s plenty of space for everyone.

At the altar, you’ll find a bowl of fruit. Eating it, you’ll find your hunger is slightly dulled for a little while, though not for long. You’ll also find any mild injuries on your person are healed. If you finish off the food, overnight, it will replenish itself.

in the earth we laid her, when the forest cast the leaf, and we wept that one so lovely should have a life so brief

Inside the greenhouse is exactly what you see from outside. It actually feels like sort of a miniature rainforest, except far less humid. It’s relaxing and peaceful, and all sorts of reptiles and avians seem to have actually made their homes here, as well as the odd bug. The plants seem to grow by themselves perfectly fine, though they probably appreciate being taking care of.

Through the cabin’s door is a picturesque living space, complete with a kitchen and bathroom off to the sides. There are eight beds, large and comfortable, each with a footlocker at the base for keeping whatever you may need in them.

You can harvest the plants for a variety of foods. Absolutely anything you can think of grows here, and that’s to say nothing of the food you can catch, as well. It’s all incredibly filling -- in fact, eating it seems to even combat the effects of corruption and makes you feel happy and fulfilled, at least temporarily. None of the food seems to carry that specific property out of the greenhouse or cabin, however.

yet not unmeet it was that one like that young friend of ours, so gentle and so beautiful, should perish with the flowers.

Dahlia

The above descriptors are subject to change -- if you or your teammates decide to change the house in a drastic way, i.e. fixing the stairs or removing the rubble from Marigold's manor, or breaking down the walls in Sakura's tailor shop, then drop us a line here with the following! We'll update the above for you.

Please remember, it is the teams' responsibility to report what changes have occurred so that the mods can update the doc. Thank you!
